ENJOYABLE SOCIAL
VISITING LODGE MEMBERS The usual fortnightly meeting was held in St. Patrick’s Hall on Tuesday evening. There was z fair attendance of members. Hostesses were Sisters C. Prennan, M.' Hume and W. FaullBirthday Sprays were made for Sisters Y. Otene and P. McFlroy and a buttonhole was presented to Pro. L. Harvey. Competition results: A (Tressed Cloths peg, Sisters K. Mourie Ist., F. Mourie 2nd. and A. Starch 3rd; Judges were Sisters Y. Bullock and T. Pairama. Plooms, Sisters I). Allan and F, Mourie equal Ist., A. Starch 2nd., W. Faull and 1). Harvey equal 3rd.; Sister F. Mourie was judge. Id Competition was won by Miss G. Mourie. After the meeting, members, friends and visiting lodge members were entertained at a social. Music was supplied bv Messrs. P. McSweeney and I). Goodin ■>* (Piano accordeons). Hems were rendered by Mrs. H. Smith (recitation) and a quartet hy Messrs. 0. Johnston, J. Harrisr.n. P. Otene and M. Siddells, with Mr. 1). Wilkinson as accomnanist (banjo). Winners of the musical hats were Sister H. McETroy and Mr. O. Johnston. The Animal mix-up was won bv Mrs. Aidrich and Afr. P?. McSweeney. A broadcast newsreel was well received. The rest of the evening was spent in dancing. Later, after all bad partaken of a delicious supper, Noble grand Sister 1. Wilkinson thanked all for attending and thus making the function such a success. Other speakers were Mr. G. Cavaney (R.A.0.8.) and Mr. W. Segar (M.H.1.0.0.F.) A bring and buy was held, and business was keen and lively, Messrs. A. Hume and G. Cavaney acting as auctioneers.
