SCHOOL v. STAFF TEACHERS WIN An enjoyable cricket match between the High School first eleven and the teaching staff was played at the High School grounds on Saturday morning, Staff winning by 81 runs to 57 on the first innings, Somervell’s 49 being the deciding factor in the team’s success. The features of the High Schools performance was H. Roach’s “hat-trick” and 0. Johnston’s good opening’ innings for 14. Woof ten (staff) 4 for 11 runs and Ratahi (school) 3 for 12 also bowled well.
