RAHOTU W.D.FiF. JANUARY MEETING Mrs. W. H. Butler 'presided over the monthly meeting of the Rahotu branch of the Women's Division. One new member was welcomed. Donations were made to the Institute for the Blind, £2-2-0; Sunrise children's home, £l-1-0; Crippled Children Society, £2-2-0; Community Chest, £10; and rest homes, £3-3-0. A letter was read from Whitehaven, England, returning thanks for 12 parcels received, and it was decided to send another 12 to London. It was decided to celebrate the division's birthday in March with an afternoon social and evening card party. The travelling prize was won'by Mrs. W. Mitchell. Mrs.,R. Morgan judged the competitions which resulted as follows: Christmas cake, Mrs. C. Field 1. Mrs. L. Billing 2; gladioli, Mrs. H. Gilhooly 1; china cruet set, Mrs. H. Gilhooly 1, Mrs. C. Field 2. Mrs. B. Field conducted a bring and buy stall. Birthday greetings were sent to Mesdames J. Luslc, L. Billing, G. Scott, J. Brophv, W. Waswo, R. .1. Butler, L. Ward, R. Fleming, A. Gilhooly and Miss D. Wright, Hostesses were Mesdames L. Ward, W. H. Butler and F. Lowry.
