COURTS POPULAR ANNUAL TOURNAMENT The Opunake Tennis Club’s courts drew a large number of members over the week-end and good tennis was witnessed. The Annual Labour week-end Tournament will commence next Saturday morning and members are asked to forward their entries for the ladies and gents handicap doubles and mixed doubles to J. Roach by Tomorrow evening. (Particulars are advertised in this issue.) OEO CLUB COURTS OPENED The official opening of the Oeo Tennis Club was held on Saturday in unsettled weather. There was a good attendance, including representatives of the Manaia club. The courts were officially opened by the president, Mr. B. T. Mason. A Yankee tournament was won by J. Walker and Miss P. Bennett both of the Manaia club. The club held a dance in the evening, when a Monte Carlo was won by Mr. J. Turner and partner. The M.C.’s were Messrs. M Evans and Eliason.
