WEEK-END BOWLING

COMPETITION GAMES TEAMS SELECTED The green was in full use over the week-end in spite of the threatening weather, and good bowling was witnessed. The teams selected to meet Manaia at Manaia in the Southern Division Competitions, which commence next Saturday are as follows: Cathie, Siddells, Drought, K. Riley; Wallis, Williams, Hickey, Des Forges; Pickering, Peat, Hah, Baylis; Tilley, Bevan, G. King, Pettit ; Crawford, Campbell, McLaughlin, Feaver; Sorenson, Young, Radioh, Mac Lean. Emergencies: Quinn, Thompson, McCann, Hanford. Bus leaves at 1 p.m. sharp. The first round of the Western Division will also be played on Saturday, the Opunake A and B teams to meet at the local rinks. The teams are, A: Judson, Julian, A. Sinclair, Thomas; McGaughey, O’Sullivan, Alger, T. H. H. Sinclair. B: Mann, Hume, Simpson, E. Riley; Macfie, Barraclough, Trotter, Leatherbarrow.
