OPUNAKE BRANCH INSTRUCTIVE TALK Mrs. Hughson presided over a good attendance of members at the October meeting. The motto was : The joy of living is found in service to your fellows. Mesdames Eordyce and Siddells were appointed delegates to the half yearly Fed. meeting. A very interesting and instructive talk on the work covered by the Post Office at the present day was given by Mr. D. Thomas. Competition results were: Mrs, Fordyce Ist., Mrs. Hughson 2nd., Mrs, Sisley 3rd. Bloom: Mrs. Maindonald Ist., Mrs. Fordyce 2nd., Mrs. Poole 3rd. Travelling Shilling: Mrs. Dairy mple. Mrs. Hughson proposed a a hearty vote of thanks to the speaker, judges and hostesses. The meeting closed with the singing of God Defend N.Z.
