IDEAL WEEK-END

TROPHY GAMES The ideal golf weather experienced during the week-end attracted a big attendance of members at the local links and .with the fairways and greens in firstclass order a number of excellent cards were returned. All trophy matches have been .advanced to the semi-final stages, results being as follows: Spring Cup: Baylis beat Watt b v default; 13. Peat beat Snell 6/5; Hooper beat Hutchen 1 up; Trotter beat Bullock 4/2. Cavaney Trophy: Harding beat Thompson 3/2; Sorenson beat Turn 2/1; Jackson beat Cavaney 2 up; B. Des Forges beat Malcolm at the 19th. A stableford held in conjunction with the above matches was won by L. Des Forges on a count back from H. Otene and B. Peat. All handed in stableford 35's. The Waiaua Cup has reached the final which will be contested by D. Watt and H. Otene, handicapped 10 and 11 respectively.

LADIES' GOLF CUP GAMES The first and second rounds of the Haumoana Cup matches have now been completed. Results are: Mrs. Fitzherbert beat Miss Anersen 3/1; Miss O'Sullivan beat Mrs. Gunson 2 up; Mrs. Malcolm beat Mrs. Thompson 8/7; Mrs. Nicoll beat- Mrs. Eagles 3/1; Miss Trotter beat Mrs. Morris 3/1; Mrs. Jackson beat Mrs. Brennan by default; Miss Sinclair beat Miss Hickman 8/7; Mrs. Adams beat Mrs. O'Neil by default; Mrs. Munro beat Mrs'. Alger 6/4; Miss Watt beat Miss Clouston 3/1; Mrs. Cruden beat Miss Hickey 5/4. 2nd.
