SURPRISE EVENING
21st BIRTHDAY, PARTY MR. C. COLT ART Mr. C. Coltart was guest of honour at a surprise evening, (arranged by Mr. and Mrs. W. Mowat, Mr. and Mrs. F. Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. D. Coltart and Mr. D. Julian) to celebrate the occasion of his 21st birthday, which was held in St Patricks Hall on Saturday evening. Over 50 friends and relatives assembled' at the Hall and the guest of honour had uo inkling of the arrangements until the last moment. Dancing with musical items was the rule in the early part of the evening, after which an excellent sit-down supper, followed by a short toast list, was enjoyed bv all. Mr. R. Siddells presented the "Key of the Door" to the guest of honour and called on him Jo cut the handsome decorated Birthday cake which had been made by Mrs. L. M. Julian. Mr. R. Siddells officiated as toast-master and the following toasts were . honoured: The Kiiig: The Guest of honour, Mr, G. Cavaney; The organisers, Mr. R. Siddells; The musicians, Mr. G. Potts; The toastmaster, Mr. A\ R. Reynolds.
Altogether it was a most pleasant evening, and the guest? of honour and all present spent a thoroughly enjoyable time.
