TEAMS SHOOTING
AT NATIONAL MEETING TEAM FOR PROVINCE For the first time in the history of the event, Taranaki will be an entrant in the district teams match which will be the opening- contest in the annual meeting of the National Rifle Association at Trentham next month. The teams, each consisting- of ten men, will contest the event on March 2, Distances for the shoot are 3(30, 600, 800 and 900 yards. Ten shots, with two optional sight - ing- shots, are. allowed at each distance, ami two targ-ets will he allotted to each team. Time limits will be: 300 yards, 65 minutes, 600 yds., TO mins., 800 yds., TO mins., 900 yds.,' T 5 mins.
The Taranaki team for the event will comprise: I). Roots (Patea), A. R. Elgar (Okato), S. Pi-uden (New Plymouth), J. Robinson (New Plymouth), R. A. Sang-ster (Toko), J. McCarthy (Kaponga), A. Denne ‘'New Plymouth), J. Huston (New Plymouth), G. Taylor (New Plymouth), D. Rumble (New Plymouth). Emergencies: F. Mace (New Plymouth), E. Issett (Kaponga), A. E. Brown (Kaponga), R. Oxenham (New Plymouth).
