THE FRIENDLY ROAD
A LARGER STATION Station IZB, A uckl.ia J, which “Uncle Scrim” and his colleagues on -the Friendly Road are at present broadcasting, is of insufficient power to reach listen-' ers residing at a <;jsvince flora Auckland. \\e want, therefore, to assure listeners in cui‘ own territory that the tra ismitter now being utilised by 'Tr Scrim genu r is a temporary expedient only, and that all the indications point to the probability of the permaeut iriendly Road station being inauguarated bv about the end of March next. The new station (for which a fund has already been opened and contributions to which will be gratefully received) will have Dominion coverage, and itstransmitter will be approximately twice as powerful as that of the late station IZR. “Uncle Scrim” is naturally anxious to reach the most distaut aud the most isolated of his listeners, and to that end will install the most powerful Bstation in New Zealand. In the meantime, he desires to send through us a personal message of remembrance and of regards.
