PARIHAKA ROAD BOARD. NOTICE is hereby given that this Board proposes : (1). To clear, drain, form, culvert, and metal the Waiteika Road, from the Main South Road to the Railway Reserve, a distance of about 2 miles and 60 chains. (2.) To borrow for such purpose the sum of £BOO, under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and sub-section 1 of section 2 of “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1899,” for a period of 26 years ; that the interest to be paid is 4£ per cent, per annum, and to pay out of such loan the cost of raising it, and one year’s interest on loan during the construction and completion of the work. (3.) To strike as security a “ Special Rate ” of one penny and one-eighth of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all ratable property within the district hereinafter described. (4.) To constitute “ The Waiteika Special Rating District,” which shall comprise the following lands, viz., Sections 11, 16, 2, 10, 12, part of section 85, and sub-sections 1 and 2 of section 1, sub-sections 2 and 3, part of section 85, also other part of section 85, block 12, sections 29, 80, 31, sub-sections 1,2, 8,4, 8, block 18, and half of section 39, block 10, all of which are situated in the Opunake Survey District as entered in “ The Special Waiteika Rate Book ” at the Board’s Office, Rahotu. The said “ Special Rate ” to be an annually recurring rate for 26 years, payable in one instalment on the Ist day of January in each year, at the Board’s Office, Rahotu. E.
