CANTERBURY v. WELLINGTON. Wellington, August 20. The match between Wellington and Canterbury ended in a draw, each side scoring six points. Wellington proved superior in attack and showed the better football of the two. AUCKLAND v. HAWKE'S BAY. Auckland, August 20. The interprovincial football match Hawkes’ Bay v. Auckland was played this afternoon in Potter’s Paddock, there being 3000 present. The horn# team won by 18 points to 10. The play was of a very ordinary character, there being nothing exciting, the Auckland reps, as a whole -playing the worst game they have done this season.
