PUNGAREHU.

(Our own Correspondent.) The Parihaka murder case is the sole topic just now. The police are, I understand, making very good headway, and a considerable lot of fresh information has been collected since the inquest. It is to he hoped that the police will get sufficient evidence to convict the murderer, for without doubt it is one of the most brutal murders that has been committed for years.

A bazaar is to be held in the Public Hall in aid of the Church of England parsonage fund. It is to be held on Thursday and Friday next, the 2nd and 3rd December, and as a number of most useful articles will be offered, I hope it will be a success.
