EGMONT A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

The Eginont A. aud P. Association will hold their 18th annual show on Thursday aud Friday,-the sth and 6th November. This show hns always been one of the Dest in the North Island, and this year the management have decided on making it a two day's show. We think they are wise in doiug so, as with the growing popularity of the gathering and the large number of different exhibits justice could not be done to them in one day. These shows are a great educational factor for the benefit of the agricultural community who can meet, and having the object lesson in the form of exhibits before them, can more fully discuss matters of interest pertaining to them. They are, on such an occasion, enabled to compare notes as to how different theories have worked out, and by exchanging ideas materially assist each other in regard to future experiments. Besides the serious part of the business there are a number who look forward to the Show as a day's outing, and for such ample provision is made in the shape of amusement and providing attractions. We anticipate that this year's Show will eclipse all former efforts and wish it every success.
