Land Board.

The Land Board met on Monday. Present: The Commissioner (Mr Strauchon), Stock, and Heslop. CAPITALISATION. J. Kirk was granted permission to capitalise the unpaid instalments on Section 18, Block 14, Cape. ACQUIRING FREEHOLD. The following applied for the freehold of d.p. lands :—W. Lever and J. Pratt, Section 8, Block 18, Ngaire; M. J. Macßeynolds, Section 188, Block 8, Cape. ELTHAM RAILWAY RESERVE. D. Fitzgerald and the Waimate Road Board applied for a third of the rents received from Eltham-Opunake Railway Reserve between Palmer and Manaia Roads to be spent on Neill Roads.—Applicants are to be informed that the Board has no power to interfere in the matter. OPUNAKE. Mr Callender was granted a seven years' lease of Sections 1,2, and 4to 12, Block 9, town of Opunake.—News.
