The Government did not consider it necessary to hold any inquiry into the working of the co-operative system of Public Works.
The financial debate will begin on Tuesday and be carried right on, to the exclusion of private members’ business. The Oiraiual Code Amendment Bill raid ithe age of consent to sixteen has passed its final stages in the Legislative Council.
After a short debate amendments made by the Private Bills Committee in the Wesleyan Methodist Church Property Trust Act, 1887, Further Amendment Bill were agreed to by the House.
The Second reading of the Totalisator Abolition Bill was carried by 34 to 25.
