The monthly meeting was held on Wednesday, there being present: Messrs McCarthy (chair), Budge, Pearce, Wilkie, and Palmer. Mr Morey wrote offering to promote an entertainment in order to get funds to improve the stage in the Drill Hall, provided the Board would subsidise the.amount raised by £ for £. —Accepted with thanks. The chairman gave notice that he would move at next meeting that a rate of £ in the £ be struck. Mason and Co. were allowed an extension of time • to complete two contracts. Resolved, That B. Sheeriu's deposit be returned as soon as enough work has been done to cover the amount. Resolved. That B. Sheerin's tender for Auroa Road metalling and blinding at £8 8s per chain be accepted. T. Powell asked for his deposit to be returned on Kiri Road contract.— Board will adhere to its last resolution requiring that work be completed. TENDERS. 90, Watino Road, ditching.—Swallow and Clarkson (accepted), 16s lid ; Maloney, 18s ; Mason and Co., 21s ; Allenby. 26s ; Martin, £7 16s. 91, Kiri Road.—Allenby, £lO and £1 16s (accepted). 92, Waliuo Road culverts. —Powell, £24 7s 6d (accepted); Ryan,*£43 15s ; Mason and Co., (one culvert), £l7 9s ; Martin, £lB 10s.
