WATCH V. NOTTINGHAM

= Ijondon, June 28. In their second innings Nottingham made a Complete collapse, the last wicket falling for a total of 146 runs. Shrewsbury 28, Jones 26, Gunn (not out) 49, Brown 26. These four were responsible for all but 19 of the runs scored. Jones took four wickets for 49 runs, Giffen 5 for 29, and Trumble 1 for 82.

The Australians, requiring 170 runs to win, made the requisite number with the loss of only four wickets, and thus won by six wickets. The chief scorers were—Darling 18, Trott 82, Gregory 18, Iredale (not 0ut).89. Attewell took 1 wicket for 12 runs, Broneu 1 for 21, Brown 1 for 12, Gunn 1 for 23.

Gunn's not out innings was a fine display of cricket. Iredale played the best cricket he has shown during the tour, but he gave two easy chances, one with his score at 72, and again at 88. He hit nine fours.

MATCH WITH YORKSHIRE.

London, July 29. The team representing Yorkshire against the Australians is the same as last with the exception that Haigh replaces Milligan. Hill, Johns, and Donnan are standing out of the colonial team. The attendance is good, the weather fine, and the wicket excellent. The Australians made 224 in their first innings. Scores —Iredale 22, Darling 48, Gregory 24, Graham 67, Eady 18, Kelly (not out) 12, McKibbin 19. Hirst took five wickets for 79, Wainwright 8 for 82. Gregory received a nasty blow in the mouth while batting and had to retire, and on resuming his position at the wicket was out almost directly. Graham and Eady knocked up 65 runs in fifty minutes, the former showing all his old form. He was batting eighty-five minutes and hit up ten fours. McKibbin took Denton and Moorhouse with successive balls.

The Yorkshire team were disposed of for 145. Scores—Brown 82, Jackson 45, Denton 24, Wainwright 22, Lord Hawke (not out) 18. In first innings Tiumble took 2 wickets for 86, Giffen 1 for 84, McKibbiu 7 for 24..

In their second innings the Australians have lost 9 wickets for 288. Scores—lredale 114, Darling 40, Giffen 12, Trott 14, Graham 29. Haigh bowled splendidly, taking 7 wickets. London, July 1. The Australians won by 140. London, June 80. Cambridge University beat Mayrle bone club. They had 507 ty get in their last innings and secured them for the loss of seven wickets.

Surrey underwent a second defeat on Saturday at the hands of Middlesex, and the same day Grace completed 1000 runs in first-class cricket.
