Sydney, March 2. The cricket match Neve South Wales v. South Australia was continued to-day, The Welshman, with five wickets down for 205, resumed their first innings, which closed for 428, against 400 got by South Australia. Iredale scored 187, Kelly 87, Turner, 40, Garrett, 21, Callaway, 4, McKibben (not out) 1, sundries 11. Jones took four wickets for 110, Giffen three for IGO, Reedman two for 47, and Travers one for 34. In their second innings the South Australian team lost three wickets for 96 at the close of the day’s play— Lyons, 46, Jarvis 11, Darling 82, Giffen (not out) 6, Hill (not out) 2, sundries 2. Excepting for one chance at 60, when he gave Giffen an easy chance in the slips, Iredale’s innings was faultless and his runs were obtained by graceful and patient cricket. Sydney, March 8. A movement is being started in cricketing circles for the purpose of raising a national testimonial to Turner on the lines of the Grace testimonial.
