Education Board.
The Education Board met on Wednesday. Present: Miss Hey wood, Messrs Bauchope (chairman), Faull, Wade, Ambury, Allsworth, Hill, Adlam and Mackay. SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Board is to be held on Thursday, sth December, to consider the allocation of the building grant, and any other business that may be brought forward. The graut for school buildings is £I7OO. NEW ZEALAND READER. It was decided to procure 100 copies of the “ N.Z. School Reader ” for use of the schools in the district. RESIGNATION. Mr Gillespie’s resignation of his position as first assistant in the Stratford school was accepted; to take effect on 81st December, 1895. board’s office. The Board’s office will be closed from Saturday, 21st December, to Saturday, Itb January.—Nows
