Land Board.
The Land Board met on Monday. Present —The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr Strauchon), Messrs Stock, Heslop, and Roy. TRANSFERS. An application was made by Barbara Hutchison to transfer Section 128, Block 4, Waimate, to D. Hutchison. Request agreed to. —Curry and Wilkins applied to transfer P.L. Section 7, Block 6, Kaponga, to C. James. Agreed to. FREEHOLD. The following applied for the freehold :—H. Green, Section 4, Block 4, Ngaire ; J. May, Section 7, Block 15, Ngaire; D. McGregor, Section 15, Block 14, Opunake.—Granted. In the latter case a declaration as to completion of contract for felling is to be given. EXTENSION OF TIME. C. and T. Coxhead, and W. Coxhead, applied for a further extension of time to pay off the capitalised values of Section 2, Block 1, Waimate, and Section 1, Block 5, Waimate.— Acceded to. DEFICIENT-IMPROVEMENTS. J. Kirk stated that he intended to effect deficient improvements on Section 18, Block 14, Cape', this season. It was decided that on condition of his having 25 acres felled and grassed by 31st March, the Board will take no further action. NATIVE LAND ACT. The Surveyor-General submitted instructions for dealing with applications to the Land Board for the sale of lands under the Native Land Court Act, 1894. DISPUTE OF ACCOUNTS. A resolution was passed with reference to the expenditure of £49 Is, aecrued from several sections in Block 16, Kaupokonui. The Chairman of the Hawera County Council is to be requested, at the approaching investigation of accounts with the Waimate Road Board, to make enquiries.— News.
