CIRCULATING LIBRARY.

(to the editor.) Sib, —Having lately arrived in Opunake I made enquiries for a circulating library, and found that there was not one. One or two persons to whom I have spoken have expressed their desire for such a thing, and I should be glad, sir, if you or any other public men could see your way to move in the matter of establishing a public library. In this age of advance in social and political economics, and the rapid developments in science, it is impossible for any community to keep itself well informed unless it is provided with the current literature. If a library is too great a step, I might suggest a magazine club. —I am, &c., * A Few
