Awatuna Mail Service.
The following letter has been received by Mr M’Guire.M.H.R., from the Postmaster-General, which we publish for the information of the settlers in this district. The letter is in answer to a petition f r a tri-weekly service between Eltbam arid Opuuake via Kapouga and Awatuna. Mr McGuire is exerting himself in favour of the service, and considering the large number of settlers who 'would be benefited by it, we trust that calling for tenders will not terminate the question, but that a service which is so urgently required will be established :
General Post Office, > Wellington Sept. 4, 1894.
