A co-respondent to the Wellington Pros* suggests the following as a suit* able constitution of the Licensing Committee:— 1. The Judge or Judges of the Supreme Court for the time being usually exercising jurisdiction within the licensing district. 2. The Principal of every Young Ladies' Seminary, Academy, College or School within the said district. 8. The President of the Rugby Football Union for the said district or any part thereof. 4. The Organist of every Episcopal Church within the said district. 5. The District Land Registrar for every Land District wholly or partly comprised within the said district. 6. The President of every Kennel Club, Jockey or Racing Club, Trades and Labor Council, and Philosophical Society within the said district. 7. The Matron of every Hospital, Convalescent Home or other Charitable or Eleemosynary Institution within the said district. 8. The Keeper of every Gaol, and the Superintendent of every Lunatic Asylum within the said district. 9. Every Justice of the Peace of the Right Color administering justice or injustice within the said district. 10. Every Rabbit Inspector, Harbormaster, Crown Lands Ranger, Licensed Veterinary Surgeon and Lighthouse-keeper within the said district.
