Public Trustee Leases.
We publish below a list of the successful tenderers for Public Trustee leases. There were G2 lots offered, for a number there were no tenders, but for others there was keen competition ; especially was this so in respect of the land near Hawera and on the plains. In the aggregate there were 82 tenders for the leases, and allowing for the sections for which there were no tenders the competition may be said to have been brisk. In regard to lots 3 and 10 the Trustee has not decided whose tender shall be . accepted. The total upset rental of land tendered for was £4SG 2s lid; the total rental offered for the land tendered for was £642 17s lOd. Up to date the area leased by the Trustee under the new Act is 5059 acres; the balance unleased is 4169 acres. Opunake Survey District. ' T’t’l upset
