At the meeting of the Harbor Board held on Wednesday it was unanimously resolved, on the motion of Mr Sarten, seconded by Mr Maxwell in effect that the Government be asked to amend the Harbors Act in the way of granting power to Boards to divide from time to time the harbor districts for the purpose of electing members from such divisions. The resolution will be forwarded to Mr E. M. Smith, M.H.li.—lt was intended to bring in an Amendment Act this session.
