Bailey, the well-known drover on the east and west coast of this island, who absconded in April last after selling a large mob of catlie in Napier, returned to Wellington from Sydney on Sunday in' charge of Constable Grey. The accused was arrested in Dubbo and was sent to Wanganai yesterday. Adherents of the Church of England are reminded of the meeting to be held on Thursday evening" in the schoolroom to consider the building of a church in Opunake. The late baziar produced a very handsome result and with other funds in hand it is considered that the work can be pone on with at once provided that the members take the matter up with spirit.
