Mr Buddo, M.H.R. arranged an interview with the Minister of Mines* the Hon. Mi? Cadman and Mr Gordon Inspector of Mines and introduced Mr O'Halloran (Chairman) Mr Dixon, and Webster. Mr Buddo referred to an interview he had with the Premier with reference to obtaining the seavices of an Engineer of the Mines Department, to inspect and report on the various proposed intakes for the supply of the District. IMr O'Halloran urged the necessity for the Government to grant the services of an Engineer to give an opinion as to a suitable intake to provide water at a cost not exceeding 3d per acre. The Minister promised that upon application being made to the Government Mr Gordon would be instructed to inspect and report as asked for and would visit the District m about a fortnight. The question of the Financial position of the Board was then introduced and after discussion, Mr Cadman agreed with the Board " Special Local Acts to provide funds for existing liabilities and further a Water Supply for the District would not be likely to receive opposition m Parliament.
