THE FETE.
ON WEDNESDAY, NOV. 3rd
Mrs H. H. Browne wishes us to men - tion that she will be very grateiul to any Paeroa ladies who will kindly contribute cakes, scones, or sweets for the Fete, which is to be held at Major Browne's residence on Wednesday next. Contributions may be left with Messrs Stewart and Co., bakers. ' In Connection with the Fete Mr W. Medhurst has kindly offered to run his char-a-banc, motor cars, and coaches in aid of the fund. All the moneys collected for fares on that afternoon will be handed over by Mr Medhurst to the Carnival Fund.
The committee responsible for ■ the carrying out of- the Fete are.:', Major Browne, Captains Derrom and Hubbard, Lieutenant Andrews, Sergeant-Majors
Dean, Cossgrove, Busby, Uren, Cooke, Donovan, and Campbell.
