KOMATA NORTH CONCERT

: * : On Friday evening last friends from Paeroa, Netherton, Turua, and Karangahake gave an excellent programme before an enthusiastic audience, after which some generous giving was indulged in to help the starving of Beigium and England. No -fewer than nine gold,medals had been won by those contributing items. The soloists were Mrs J. Dean, Mrs Busch, Miss Ford (ot Dunedin), Mrs Mohlmann, Mrs Hargreaves, Messrs Rogers, Prisk, Hall, and Berry. A pianoforte duet was given by Mrs Mackay and Miss Harms, and a vecal duet by Misses Thompson and I. Fisher, whilst recitations were delivered by Mrs Hall and Miss Ford. Mrs Mackay ably acted ns accompanist, assisted by Mr Froggit. Supper was afterwards dispensed by the Netherton ladies.—Contributed.
