A SUDDEN END

The news of the sudden death yesterday morning ot Dr Hooper at his residence, Hobson Street,- Auckland, will be received by a wide circle ot friends and by all with whom he came in contact with profound regret, while by his demise is removed one. of the best known and most interesting figures in the medical profession ot Auckland. On Monday afternoon he was in the city, and apparently enjoying his usual health, and yesterday morning he rose as usual. About seven .o'clock, however, he complained of feeling unwell, and retired to his room, where Mrs Hooper found him a iew minutes later suffering from a severe heart seizure. Dr Knight was immediately summoned, but death supervened before his arrival. The blow fell with terrible severity on his wife and family, by whom it was wholly unexpected.
