Taupo, November 22,

A most determined case of suicide took place last evening at Tokuanu, when the young wife of Morehu Downs jumped into a large boiling spring, and was not seen afterwards. Natives are engaged trying to recover the body, but without any hope of success, as the spring is a large one, and boiling furiously. Recently it was a •huge geyser.
