The Milk Supply Association's factory at Featherstone was destroyed last night. No water supply was available, so the fire brigade was helpless. The buildings were very substantial, and the machinery cost ovei ,£2OOO The origin of the fire is a mystery. There was no caretaker, and the police found all the doors locked. The building had been unused since last summer. The insurances are ,£7OO on the machinery and on the building. The association was in liquidation, and tenders for the purchase of the buildings and plant were to have closed to-morrow.
