Applications were granted as follows : —Dominion G.M. Co., surrender of Sir Colin Campbell and New Shotover special claims at Karangahake ; Thomas Casey, surrender of Rahu special claim at Mackaytown ; Alexander Hogg, surrender of portion of business site at Karangahake; Margaret Nelson, residence site at Karangahake ; J. B. Morris and L. Meagher, protection for six months for coal prospecting license ; Walter Ryan, residence site at Comes' lease, Karangahake; W. E. CayleyAlexander and G. S. Kent, protection until 31st March for Yankee special claim at Maratoto ; Rising Sun G.M Co., protection, for six months for Rising Sun Extended special claim at Owharoa; Henry Sheehan, permission to work Maratoto Consolidated special claim at Maratoto with two men until January 31st, 191 1 ; Dominion G.M. Co., Dominion special claim of 100 acres at Karangahake. The following applications were recommended to the Minister for Mines : —W. E. Cayley-Alexander and G. S. Kent, Emperor special claim of 36 acres at Maratoto; A. J. Thorp and others, protection for six months for Saxon Nos. 1 and 2 special claims at Karangahake.
