CHAVENGE FOURS ASSOCIATION. '

A meeting of the delegates from the various clubs was ' held in Paeroa on Saturday afternoon. Mr J. Evans (Waihi Club) was voted to the chair, there being also present Mr Jury (Karangahake Ctub), l Mr Mclnman (Te Aroha Club), Mr W. D. Nicholas (as proxy for the Thames Club), and Mr WV McWatters (Paeroa Club) secretary.. WAITETE CLUB. An application was received from Mr N. Mcßobie, secretary of the Waitete Bowling Club, Waihi, asking to be allowed to take part in the stars competition. ; "On the? motion of Mr McW,atters, seconded by Mr E. Jury, it was resolved that the Waitete Club be admitted to the stars competition. ■■-■ ■ ■■■■■'■..■ ENTRANCE FEE., . . /Mr Nicholas'moved that the entrance fee for the Waitete Club arid all other clubs joining the association be £2. This was seconded by Mr ; Mclnman, and carried. wMr Mcßobie, delegate foF the Waitete Club, was then invited to take part in the meeting, J CHALLENGE. .:;■. >. ' Mr Mcßobie moved that no challenge be accepted by the secretary of the association unless it comes through the secretary of the club sending the challenge. .■:■.. Mr McWatters moved that a tournament be held'on the green of the holders in connection with the stars, on the last Saturday in November, amongst eight rinks drawn from affiliated clubs in the proportion of one from each with the 1 exception of holders, who shall have the privilege of making up the extra finks required^;, for this year the holders to decide whether the tournament shall take place, and if so on what date. < fThis was seconded by Mr Mcßobie I and carried. . ; '■■■.*.'■, ! Mr Mclnman proposed that all visiting rinks pay an entrance fee of 10s, this sum to go to the funds, of the entertaining club. , X This was seconded by the chairman, and carried. CHALLENGES. Mr Nicholas moved that rule"eight be altered to lead as follows : " Challenges to be lodged with the. secretary, who will forthwith notify holders of the issue of the challenge, and the game must be played within 14 days from the first succeeding Saturday after challenge. If challengers do not play challenge to lapse, etc." This was carried. Mr Jury moved that no challenge be accepted for stars alter last Saturday in April. This was seconded by the chairman and carried. ' INTER-CLUB MATCHES. Messrs McWatters and Mcßobie were appointed to draw up the first round for inter-club matches. MEETING.
