DOMINION DAY.

CHURCH PARADE ATPAEROA

Yesterday being Dominion Day, a church parade was held at Paeroa in the morning to St. Paul's Church. There was a good attendance, and the church was crowded. The members of the Second Battalion staff present were Lieutenant-Colonel Porritt, Quarter-master-Captain Nathan, and Surgeon-

Captain Smith. The No. 1. Ohinemuri

Rifles mustered 28 men under command of Captain De*an, Lieutenant Andrews, and Lieutenant Littlejohn. Of the Paeroa School cadets there were 49 present under Captain Pocock, and of the Karangahake School cadets there were 47 under * Captain Corbett. The service at the church was conducted by the Rev. J. P. Cowie, who delivered'an appropriate address.

Prior to the church parade Lieut. Colonel Porritt presented to Lieutenant Andrews the New Zealand service medal for twelve years long and efficient service.
