SHOOTING.
A letter has beea received by the No. 1 Ohinemuri Rifles from the No. 3 Ohinemuri Hifles (Waihi) asking £or the use of the Paeroa range for Saturday, October 13th, for the purpose of a triangular shooting match, between No. 3 Ohinemuri Rifles, Piako Mounted -Riflos, and No. 1 Thames Rifles. The Paeroa corps was invited to also enter a team, and make a quadrangular match of it. The shooting committ«e of the No. 1 Olruemuri Rifles, decided to agree to the suggestion and to enter a team for the match. Each of the competing teams will consist of tan men, and the ranges will be 200, 500, and 600 yards, with seven shots at each range. The shooting committee of the No-1 Ohinemuri Rifles specially requests the shooting members to get in all the practice possible between now and the date of the match, so that the local team might make a scan'd and win back some of the ashes lost The team to represent the No. 1 Ohinemuri Rifles wi' I be selected | from the following : — Captain Hubbard, Surgeon-Captain Cheesman, Colour-Sergeant Andrews, Sergeants Shaw, Hubbard, and Silcock, Corporals Mooro, Booker, and Sanderson, Privates Thompson, Bray, Hi!
