A laatch, the prospect of which is exciting considerable interest, wilUake place on the Paeroa ground this afternoon between toams picked from the' players in the.upper and lower portions of tho township. The teams are as follows: — Upper.—Full-back, MeGruer; threequarters, Bromwich, Power and Shepherd; five-eights, W. Smith; half, Coote; forwards, T. Smith, Griffiths (wings), Capper, Marsh, Soronsen (2), Oapill, Gelling and Hudson. Lower.—Full-back, Hawk; threequarters, Shaw, Mettani and Cock; five-eights, Niccol; half, Trevarthen.; forwards, Frazer, Conolly (wings), W. Sorensea, J. McGuire, Pennell, McGill, Thomas, Anderson and Hartley. Emergencies.—T. McGuire, Moore, Phillips, R. Power, 0. Coote and S. Silcock,

I understand that satisfactory arrangements have been made with Mr Har wood for the use of his paddock to play football on this season. A scheme is on foot to erect adrossj ing room and shower bath .. on _ the Paeroa ground. Subscription lists, the donation to which is limited to one shilling, are now being rapidly filled up. Some convenience of this kind has been badly needed for along time, .and it is to be hoped that a substantial amount Avill be raised. "Waihi and Karangahake play at Maekaytown to-day. The Rev. Father Hackett, President of the Paeroa Football Olub, has presented the club with a medal for competition. Mr T.
