A.R.C. AUTUMN MEETING,
THIRD DAY.
The concluding day's racing of the Auckland Racing Club's Autumn 'Meeting was held at- Ellerslie on Saturday last. The weather was fine, anfl. a large crowd assembled on the course. During the day the sum of £8,931 was passed through the totalizator, making a total of £25,586 for the three days. The racing resulted as follows:— Maiden Hurdles.—Drum Majqr^ 1, Tip 2, Nithniount 3. Dividend, £18 6s. Hurdle Race.—Bellman 1, Nor'west 2, Cairo 3. Won by three lengths. Dividend, £5 16s. St. George's Handicap.—Battleaxe 1, Douglas 2, Firefly 3. Won by two lengths. Dividend, £5 ss. ' Pony Race.—Roy 1, Edison 2, Little Wonder 3. Won by half a length after a good race. Dividend, £1 13s. Criterion Handicap.—Miss Delavel 1, Miss Enirny 2, Sylvia Park 3. Dividend, £5 14s. Welter Handicap. — Cavalier 1, Thelma 2, Shylock 3. Won oasily. Dividend, £l 18s. Grandstand Handicap.—Tauliei 1, Firefly 2, Lillie 3. Won by threequarters of a length. Dividend, £7 Bs. Victoria Handicap. — Rosella 1, Bluecap 2, Seahorse 3. Won easily by a length* Dividend. £2 Bs.
