DEATH OF MRS GOONAN.
'It is a vare occurrence to see two funerals during one week in Paeroa, yet such is unfortunately the report we. have to make to-day. The second death is that of Mrs Annie (3-qonan, who departed this life after a long illness on Tuesday<evening last, at: her residence, Ngamoko, near Paeroa. Mrs'G-oonan was one of the earliest' settlers in Ohinemuri, and accompanied her husband through many vicissitudes in the early days. She was a loving mother, a faithful wife, and a~true friend, and when on Tuesday evening her suffering body gave forth its last, faint breath,<it was in peace and -content. Our heartfelt sympathy is with the hus-, band and family. •<
The funeral took place at Puke- i frimu, -and was attended by a very y large concourse of M;hefriends of the* deceased. <
