Mayor’s Christmas Message To Citizens

The Mayor, Mr L. M. Wright, in a message extending the season’s greetings to the citizens of Dunedin, says:— “May I extend to all citizens of Dunedin the season’s compliments, a joyful Christmas with peace and goodwill in 1951. Peace is something that we can only hope and pray for, but goodwill is a matter for every citizen in this city to work for, for it embraces tolerance, helping one’s neighbour, and generally being considerate of the other person’s problems. Perhaps if all of us can give some thought during this festive season towards making 1951 a year of giving service and showing tolerance, this fair city of Dunedin will be a much happier place for all of us.”
