High Schools’ Contest In the first round of the Doubles in tlie lawn tennis match between Otago and Waitaki Boys’ High Schools, the results (Otago names first) were:—Elliffe and Brooks beat Thorley and McNaughton 6—2, 6—2; Cox and Chin beat Lawrence and Steel 6—3, 6—l; McCafferty and Marsh lost to Duggan and Watson I—6,' 2—6; Elliffe and Brooks beat Lawrencd and Steel 6—2, 6—4; Cox and Chin lost to Duggan and Watson- 3—6, 5 —6; McCafferty and Marsh lost to Thorley and McNaughton 4—6, 2—6. The finals of the Doubles and, the Singles will be played today.
