ssssss it Jgs H.G. Battalions. May I make the foUow ins correction. I was not the ,first C.u. oi thf Taieri Battalion. When the battalion was formed I was in command SIJS* Mosgiel Company. Captain J. W. Thomson was acting battalion commander and when Major T. Pugh returned from overMajor Pugh, was given command, until later when he wasi made zon* commander. It was then that I was appointed battalion commander. . .. y Might I add that the Taieri Battalion was composed of the following: Head* quarters Company, Dunedin; one company, Middlemar.ch; one company, Outram; one company, Mosgiel; one companv Brighton; commando platoon (Lieu tenant Ray Tourell). Mosgiel; one platoon Allanton; and one platoon, Henley. I have not seen anv mention of the bane? Battalion or etc - c.O. Taieri’Bn. Dunedin, December 7, 1950. .
