Sir.— Many aged people are paying social security tax on their meagre age benefits. Take the case of a married pensioner with an overseas pension of £152 per annum, on which he has to pay social security tax What hopes has he of combating the' increased cost of living? Social security tax on age benefits, accrued by thrift service and in most cases contributary, should be abplished^am.^tc.,
