ENGAGED AT TRENTHAM
Riccarton And Wingatui Horses Special to the Daily Times CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 10. The conditions were pleasant for the work at Riccarton this morning, but there was not a great deal of fast galloping. Most of the horses who raced at Washdyke on Saturday were on the easy list, while others will leave tonight for Trentham. Local trainers who are booked to go north tonight for the Wellington Racing Club’s meeting are; W. Barr—Prince Defaulter, Sharessa, Langham, Millrace; C. G. Humphries—Te Kooti, Sir Abbot, My Hero, Pukka Sahib; F. D. Jones—Magical, Johnny Peep, Infanta; and L. J. EllisResolute, Dark Courage. Six horses from Wingatui will leave tonight for Trentham, after breaking the journey at Riccarton. They are Bobbi' Dazzler, Reformed, Lucky Lynn, Arctotis, Sylvan and Silence. Sharessa showed improvement after she had done some work yesterday, so W. Barr decided to include her in his team for Trentham. She will, however, be best suited if she gets an easy track to race on.
