ST. KEVIN’S COLLEGE

Boxing Championships

The annual boxing tournament at St. Kevin's College was conducted by members of the Oamaru Amateur Boxing Association on Monday night. In all. 22 bouts were held, the school championship for the S. W. Easton Cup going to B. Goulding. The Nightcaps Cup, /for the most scientific senior boxer, went to B. Dalleissi, and the W. O'Connor Cup, for the most scientific junior boxer, was won by P Murphy. R. Hanrahan won the A. Shanks Cup for the gamest loser, and B. Neave won the Oamaru Amateur Boxing Associations cup for the most improved boxer. Results were;— Championship Events Junior.—G. Brown beat P. Stanton; E. Donnelly beat A. Brettkelly; R. Cooney beat B. Neave; O. O'Neill beat R. Dixon: L. Smith beat R. Hanrahan; J. Farrell beat R. Heeney. Senior.—B. Goulding beat O. Nelson: E. Crawford beat L. Hart; J. Russell beat P. Collins; B. Dalliessi beat J. Farrant; J. McDonnell beat M. Kelliher; K. Heeney beat R. Falconer. Non-championship Events Junior.—P. Jones beat K. Stack; F. Kubiak beat G. Fischer; W. Cronin beat E. Shea; P. Murphy beat B. Fay; A. Wilson beat P. McLean. Senior.—R. Stedman beat P. McAtamney; K. Henderson beat N. Smith; T. Moynihan beat R. O’Connell; M.
