HIGHER PAY SOUGHT
Auckland Local Authorities Officers
PA AUCKLAND, Oct. 6. The Auckland Provincial District Local Authorities Officers’ Union applied to the City Council in a letter received tonight for an increase in salaries. The application referred to increases which had been granted to officers in higher grades, but the council decided to reply that it did not intend to review the salaries of the remainder of the staff before the review of the industrial agreement, which would expire on March 31. next.
