Round Trip Completed

PA WELLINGTON, Oct. 6. In perfect weather the flying boat Ararangi touched down at Evans Bay at 7 o’clock this morning, marking the completion of the first return flight in the Wellington-Sydney service. The 36 passengers were ashore and had completed all Customs and other formalities by 8.10 a.m. Captain D. W. G. Keesing said: “Just this once, as it was the first trip, we flew over the Marlborough Sounds to let the people have a look.” Letters from men serving in the New Zealand naval frigates in Korean waters were among the 3501 b of mail brought by the Ararangi.
