FOUND DEAD IN LINER

Dunedin Passenger For Sydney NZPA—Copyright SYDNEY, Sept. 19. Detectives are investigating the death of a first class passenger from Dunedin in the liner Wanganeila, which arrived at Sydney from Wellington yesterday. On Sunday morning a steward reported to the ship’s officers that he had found the body of George Throp, aged 30, single, of Dunedin, hanging in a bathroom. The police have established that Throp behaved normally during the voyage, and had breakfast about an hour before death. He had with him a large amount of money for a holiday in Sydney. The police believe he had been a war-time airman, and was a radio operator in New Zealand. They have taken possession of two letters found in his cabin.
