No Change In Scheme Proposed

PA WELLINGTON, July 20. Circumstances had not yet arisen which would warrant any modification of the compulsory military training scheme for 18-year-olds, said the Minister of Defence, Mr Macdonald, in an interview this evening. The Minister was asked whether, in view of the present tension, it was intended to substitute a scheme which would produce a defence force more rapidly.
